This reproduction of the wreck of the Hydrabad sailing ship which was blown ashore in a violent torm on the night of 24th June 1878 was painted from a photograph taken by the artist at the centennary of the beaching on the 24th June 1878 depicting her ghost-like sails and flags as a fully rigged sailing vessal.
